• Every month you receive a letter from Imogen where she tells you about the heart fluttering and skin crawling events of that month.

  • Whether that be interactions with potential suitors, inexplicable events that could be supernatural (or just the wind!) and the bone-chilling stories she learns about her ancestors.

  • The letters always include a 5x7 art print and other ephemera related to the story, for example invitations, sketches, calling cards, stickers and more.

What you get in the first month:

A hand holds a white envelope with a red wax seal and elegant script, set against a wooden background with red roses.

The Story

How it starts...

When summoned to her estranged father’s house, the last thing Imogen expected as his illegitimate daughter was for him to make her his heir and then promptly die. Leaving her life as a governess on the outskirts of society behind, she takes up the mantle of Lady Elmyre, control of the vast Elmyre estate and ownership of Silvermarch Manor.

The Love

With the security of her outrageous wealth, her change in circumstances enables her to do something much
more important than host balls but court the man she’s been in love with for the last three years, her best friend Duncan. But Duncan loathes the arrogance of the upper class and wants desperately to prove himself worthy of Imogen by earning enough to provide for her. For fear of losing him, Imogen keeps her change in fortune secret, but secrets can only be kept so long in polite society.

The Danger

That is not Imogen’s only worry. She has inherited more than she realises, as a strange sickness takes hold of her, one that keeps her bound to the manor and the supernatural forces that live there. In the hopes of curing her sickness, Imogen hunts through her family history, uncovering the pattern of tragedies that haunt them across the last three-hundred years and learning more than she ever wished.

As her pursuit for love and her sickness grows stronger, she unearths the truth of her family’s legacy and must make the heartbreaking decision on the kind of Elmyre she wants to be.

This has the romance and societal expectations of Bridgerton and Jane Austen novels, with the gothic setting, mystery and supernatural suspense of Crimson Peak and is set in Victorian England.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the story & mail club run for in total?

Currently, I estimate somewhere between 12-16 months. I will keep this QandA updated as I progress.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Your letters are sent from Australia and I ship outside the country with a small shipping fee of $3 added at checkout.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes, once you have signed up you can log into your account and pause or cancel your subscription at any time.

Can I buy this as a gift for someone?

Yes, you can do so by buying a gift card from my store. As they will need to create an account and manage their own subscription, the gift card enables them to do so.

What if I didn't sign up last month? Do I miss chapters?

When you sign up you start at chapter 1, so you won't miss anything no matter when you sign up.

Is AI used in the making of this mail club?

Absolutely not. All of the art is drawn by myself or my partner and the story is written entirely from my brain and research into the Victorian era. I do not endorse the use of generative AI in creative spaces nor will I ever use it myself.
